The Thompson family has been growing strawberries in Kenosha County for over 70 years. We have been primarily a "Pick-Your-Own" farm for 50 years. Scott Thompson is the 4th generation of Thompsons to grow strawberries. During the peak of the Pick-Your-Own, we grew 150 acres of strawberries. Our farm is located just east of the The Club at Strawberry Creek Golf Course. We currently farm about 100 acres and will be picking 20 acres of strawberries this year. Although we have downsized, we still have plenty of strawberries to meet the demand. The season usually starts about mid-June and usually we pick at least through July 4th. Weather makes a big difference in the starting date for picking and availability of berries during the season. We encourage customers to call for our "Daily Picking" information before they come to the farm. Strawberry season begins around the second week in June and will last two to three weeks. Sign up for our newsletter and we'll be sure to let you know when they are ready! Please note that the start and end dates of our crops are highly dependent on weather, so be sure to check our Facebook Page, our On The Farm Now Blog or call our berry hotline at 920-710-1325 for hours and product availability before heading out to the patch.

At Our Farm:

We are a family-run farm and are happy to have everyone bring their children along with them to the patch to enjoy the experience picking and tasting fresh strawberries. Come and enjoy the fresh air and country atmosphere. This is a third generation strawberry farm, providing fresh, sweet berries to the surrounding area from late June to early July. We grow the best variety of berries...good color, taste, and freezing capability. We hand out brochures describing how to care for picked berries, along with a variety of strawberry recipes, including pies, jams, cakes, breads, spreads, drinks, ice cream, salads, and much more...and don't forget the chocolate covered strawberries.
